This is a snapshot we took in Haarlem on our last trip to Holland in November, pots full of sprouted bulbs, ready to bloom indoors. Forced flower bulbs are a 'big' item in Holland and they find many decorative and trendy ways to present them.This year ceramic pots in silver, dark glossy charcoal gray and black seemed to be a trend and they looked terrific with green mosses and bulbs in them.
The large ones show Amaryllis bulbs in beds of mossy pillows, the front ones are planted with multiflora hyacinths that will add a lovely fragrance to the house once the flowers start to open.
